About Argyriou GmbH
An independent engineering practice, deliberately small.
Argyriou GmbH is a technology firm built around a simple premise: serious systems deserve unhurried craft. Below is how that premise translates into the way we work.

Who we are.
Argyriou GmbH is an independent information-technology firm. We design, build, integrate and operate the software and infrastructure that organisations rely on to do their work. Our engagements are professional in the traditional sense of the word: written briefs, senior practitioners, clear deliverables, and accountability that persists beyond delivery.
We are not a large systems integrator, nor a marketplace of freelancers. We are a small firm whose composition and workload are managed to keep the quality of every engagement predictable.
Mission.
To build technology that remains useful, understandable and safe long after we finish writing it. We measure our work not by launch dates, but by whether it is still functioning correctly, being maintained comfortably, and creating value years later.
Vision.
A landscape in which businesses are served by their technology, not held hostage by it. We believe that considered engineering, honest documentation and long-term ownership are what makes that possible — and we run our practice accordingly.
The commitments we do not negotiate.
- Craft
- We take the extra hour to make a design coherent, a name accurate, a document readable. Craft compounds; carelessness does too.
- Honesty
- Estimates are ranges. Uncertainty is stated. When we are wrong, we say so promptly and adjust in writing.
- Restraint
- We prefer fewer moving parts, fewer dependencies, fewer clever tricks. Restraint is a design discipline.
- Continuity
- The engineer who wrote the code is the one who explains it. Handoffs are events, not the default mode of operation.
- Discretion
- Client work is confidential by default. We do not publish case studies or names without written permission.
- Curiosity
- We keep reading, keep experimenting, and keep testing our own assumptions against reality.

A conservative default, an open mind.
Our default is to reach first for the technologies that are well-understood, well-supported and boring in the best sense of the word. We move away from that default when the problem genuinely warrants it — not because a technology is fashionable, but because it demonstrably fits.
This posture keeps our clients out of hype cycles and inside a stable operating envelope where their teams can actually work.
The disciplines we cover.
Our practitioners have backgrounds spanning application development, distributed systems, security engineering, data platforms and operations. Each engagement is staffed with people whose experience matches the problem, not people who need to be placed.
- — Application architecture
- — Distributed systems
- — Cloud platforms
- — Kubernetes & containers
- — Data engineering
- — Security engineering
- — Identity & access
- — Site reliability
- — Developer platforms
- — Systems integration
Standards, made visible.
Every change we produce is reviewed by a second engineer before it reaches a shared branch. Every service we operate carries defined health checks, dashboards and alerts. Every incident is followed by a written review, and every recommendation from that review is tracked. These practices are the same on the first week of an engagement as they are on the fiftieth.
Your context, not ours.
We adapt to the way our clients already work — their review conventions, their compliance framework, their release cadence — rather than importing a rigid methodology of our own. What we bring is discipline, not process theatre.

The kind of team we try to be.
A workplace where engineers write more than they speak, where reviews are patient, where questions are welcomed on the first day and the thousandth, and where the person closest to a problem is trusted to describe it. We consider this culture load-bearing; without it, none of the rest is repeatable.
Long-form, on purpose.
We prefer fewer clients, longer engagements and clearer commitments. It allows us to know a system deeply, to be genuinely available when it matters, and to protect the quality of everything we deliver from the pressure to grow for its own sake.
A small firm, seriously staffed, deliberately paced, working in English, from written briefs, on systems that matter. If that description fits the situation, correspondence is welcome at [email protected].
